Hello i m getting some muscle now

Hello...I m trying now to put some clothes to the armature but it is difficult to find them, I have been looking in many shops in Cork but it seems pretty much impossible to find man dolls to get it from. I also tried to see how the lighting will look like and I m posting some picture to show it. Thanks

I need help to make up the story...

Hello stop-fellas where are you? I need you this time cause I have an idea about my future movie but I would like to develop it with someone of you, I will finish my three characters and the room where the scenes will be made. So I just need some help to develop the story, it should be a kind of horror story. Moma is the mother Bibo is the 3 years old child and Robert is the husband. The story is about Bibo immagination...Moma on dinner time send Bibo to take a wine bottle from the cellar downstair and he refuse because he knows there will be his imaginary monster...So that's the overall story. So let's help me please I m looking a friend that can help me since ages....thanks

HOW TO MAKE A CHEAP PUPPET ARMATURE

Hi stop-motion friends, how are you? Did you think to make some movie? any idea? ok let's start with a really important piece of the Stop-motion. The first thing we need to make, unless you are using only plastiline (wich is great) is the "armature". A good armature makes the things easier and the movie smoother. So let's start to understand wich armature suits to our animation. If you have enough money I suggest to buy a ready made armature. there is plenty of armatures out there on the web, they are beautiful, perfect, smooth but also very expensive. I would like to buy a good armature, but being a hand maker lover I also like to make it on my own. The tools we need are: wire cable, 1 cm screws, their bold, a small spring (you can take from the biro the one you press to open and close) and some immediate power glue (as the Attack) then you need some FIMO, that is that kind of polymeric clay that once cooked in the oven become a strong and light plastic. Then you need a small grab to blend the wires and that's it. In the armature i have made in the picture above you will see more or less how it works. I've tried to reproduce all the movements making almost all the real articulations of the human body to make the puppet moving very well. To reproduce the musculature i put a stripe of a light sponge sheet because now the problem is not to make the armature heavy so it is good to find the lightest materials possible. The spring helps to keep the articulations tight and fluid, allowing the bolt to a little movement without loosening up. With a biro's spring you ca make about 6/7 small springs for the joints. the picture abobe shows a detail of a joint.

my first character "moma"

Hi stop-fellas. Today i m introducing my first and main character of my future animation, she is the mum and and a wife of a strange 3 members family. This character was very complicated to built it, the idea for this puppet was avoiding the walking process let her sliding instead. I have made a base very heavy(it is a toilet paper roll filled with screws and filled with wax to make it very heavy) in order to avoiding big movement when you need to move it for the scenes, the torso is made with the armature shown before and finally the most difficult part was the face: it is made by a great material that you can model and after dryed is extremely light perfect for the purpose. sometime i ll put a sketch how is made inside. the eyes are made with FIMO and they have a hole in the black part which allow me to move and rotate by a small toothpick. The hair have been attached afterward because the back part of the face needed to have holes for the eyes and for the hole that control the neck.
thanks for reading and watching.if this was usefull please let me know, comments are appreciated. :)

Stop Motion suggestions and tips

Hello, when i started to be interested in stop-motion i was wondering wich tecnique the masters were using to make their movies, and a question i asked to myself was: How many picture they use per second? So the first thing came in my mind was to watch part of the movie just forwarding the scene frame by frame and i start to understand the tricks of the stop-motion makers. One of my favourite animations is from "Aardman studios in England" called "Wallace and Grommit" two funny characters with a great style.
I have been watching part of a movie called "A grand day out" and i cought some of the way they make the scenes, they use put the same picture in 3 frames and put a transition between the third and the fourth picture and the same for the sixth and the seventh one and so on, that generates a pleasent and stylish looking. That what they did with that movie cause one of the first, in their new movie the tecnique is changed, have a look frame by frame if you want.thanks for the attention

Talking about Stop-motion animation

Even if i know that nowaday more or less everyone know about stop motion, I want to give a simple explanation what all is about. Stop-motion as the word suggest is a movie that is made by taking picture at a scene that is moved at any picture is taken, so: (picture- then stop, move the scene- then picture again- then stop and.......) this generates the movement of the caracters and of the scene,
